Nukul Sodhi

Nukul Sodhi is a Senior Programme Associate at the Centre for Digital Governance, National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA). He plays a key role in advancing the National Urban Digital Mission (NUDM), a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) that aims to build a shared, open-source digital infrastructure (UPYOG) to strengthen urban governance across India. With over five years of experience in digital governance, procurement, and urban technology, Nukul has collaborated with 20+ States and Union Territories, engaging senior bureaucrats to drive large-scale digital adoption. His expertise spans digital transformation strategy, government procurement, process re-engineering, IT product management, and policy analysis. At NIUA, he has contributed to state IT maturity assessments, drafting of RFPs/RFEs, capacity-building, and National/State-level consultations, enabling the rollout of 8+ digital governance modules and integration of real-time data dashboards that improve service delivery and decision-making.Previously, in the construction technology sector, he managed SaaS deployments across 250+ sites, overseeing client engagement, user acceptance testing, and large-scale training initiatives. This experience sharpened his ability to balance technical implementation with stakeholder needs—skills he now applies in the public sector to ensure scalable and user-centric solutions.
Nukul has pursued certifications in digital transformation, project management, and leadership. He is an alumnus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Outside of work, Nukul stays active through strength training and swimming, reflecting his commitment to discipline, resilience, and balance.
